Every month, we release two new films here at Lust Cinema, and we are so excited about the new may material! As of tomorrow, we are featuring ‘Torn’ by New Sensations, which has won a heap of awards like Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay and Best Romance Release. It’s always a thrill for us to have New Sensations at Lust Cinema, but I can tell you first hand that their films just keep getting better and better! It’s a compassionate and intelligent storyline about the lifespan of relationships, with compelling characters, excellent visuals (HD), and fantastic direction. A wonderful film for couples, this is an absolute MUST-SEE!

What starts as a mellow birthday in underground loft party setting, evolves into a night full of hookups, building in urgency and passion into the wee hours. With a cast full of chemistry and lots of sass, Porno Jim has made a fun, sexy, indie title great for couples – because, as he says, “America needs better porn!”

This funny and explicit movie from producer New Sensations examines the messy and the beautiful when it comes to relationships. As a marriage counselor, Dr. Paul Highland has spent years dealing with the problems that arise when two people commit to each other, effectively jading him completely. But when April, a charming bride-to-be, seeks his help, Dr. Highland’s world is turned upside down. For all of his problems, he may have met his match in her boundless optimism and wholehearted belief in true love. Can we call it a ‘romantic’ comedy? You’ll have to watch and find out!

THE FRIEND ZONE by New Sensations

Bright, bubbly Gina is the love of Kevin’s life, so he endures his platonic role within the ‘friend zone’. But after suggesting that they try online dating, Kevin panic at the idea of losing her forces him to do something rash: create a profile of his own using a coworkers’ identity. But after successfully wooing Gina under false identity, what can Kevin do but reveal his feelings? Can the truth open new doors for the pair? Or will it cause them to close for good?

Like her Feminist Porn Award winning Emile (also featured on Lust Cinema!), it is a portrait, however it is very different. Lander gives us a sexy new character – the embodiment of 90s rave culture. With fluorescent body paint, fishnets and leopard heels, you can’t help but be drawn to the woman in eye-popping color.

 MAYBE HE’S GIFTED by N Maxwell Lander

A third short film by Canadian filmmaker N Maxwell Lander, it is a departure both from Emile and 98bit. With the trademark stunning photography, Lander gives us a short story of lust. A decidedly vintage feel, the short begins slowly, almost sleepily, but builds to an urgent frenzy between two passionate women.

Can you believe it’s autumn already? Thank goodness the weather here in Barcelona keeps us in denial! We are releasing an exciting NINE FILMS for you this month: a short by acclaimed director and cinema founder Erika Lust, three feature-length narrative pieces, and five unique films by director and sex educator, Tristan Taormino.

ROOM 33 by Erika Lust

This short film was shot in Barcelona’s chic, boutique Hotel Camper as a sequel to director Erika Lust’s 2009 short, “Handcuffs” (also featured in Lust Cinema). Room 33 is about the sexiness of travel, intimacy and total strangers, and the intrigue of what goes on behind closed doors! 

HISTOIRES DE SEXE(S) by Ovidie & Jack Tyler

Written and directed as a collaboration by both a man and a woman, Histoires de Sexe(s) is a wry look at sexuality – and how differently the two sexes view it. Through the course of a dinner, one held by Jean-Phillipe with his guy friends, another by Agathe with her gal pals, the eight people recount their recent experiences, trysts, conquests, and affairs in the most realistic terms. Go on a journey with the characters through the many joys and failures of life, romance and sex and see just how different the two points of view can be between a masculine and feminine perspective. This highly-awarded film by writer-directors Ovidie and Jack Tyler is a wonderful embodiment of our mission here at Lust Cinema, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did! 

CONSTANCE by Knud Vesterskov & Puzzy Power

The first ever hardcore film produced in part by an established mainstream film studio, Constance tell the story of a girl’s initiation into the world of sexuality. Set in baroque times, Constance seeks haven in a luxurious mansion belonging to Lola – who will be her mistress and partner on this passionate journey. Here at Erika Lust Films, we’ve been hard at work on our online cinema! Not only are we continuing improvements in Lust Cinema, but we are committed to expanding our film collection. This includes at least two new films per month, usually released on Fridays, all handpicked by founder and erotic film director Erika Lust.

This month of September, we have proudly seen the release of two films by acclaimed feminist director Jennifer Lyon Bell:

Matinée

Stage actors Mariah and Daniel play lovers every night but their onstage romance lacks spark. One slow afternoon they discover that today’s matinée performance will make or break both of their careers. Daniel wants to make big changes, and Mariah starts to wonder: are Daniel’s suggestions reasonable? Or has he lost track of the boundary between actor and character? Rushed to the stage, in front of a live audience, they must figure it out together. Matinée is a sexually explicit drama intended to bridge the gap between art film and sex film. The film showcases Steven McAlistair and Alicia Whitsover in their first ever explicit sex roles and features both an original musical score and a diligent focus on capturing the real-life sounds of sex. This films was conceived as a collaboration between Jennifer and Murielle Scherre, aka La Fille D’O. They created it for the feminist Stout(st)e Dromen Festival in Antwerp, Belgium.
